Afghanistan has fallen. Talibans have taken full control of it. They now are impatiently waiting for August 31 to come. This is the scheduled date of final departure of american troops. Common afghan stands duped by the way America withdrew. All of a sudden life and safety of not only the people of Afghanistan but foreign nationals too who are there for any reasons whatsoever stands severely compromised. Women and children are left at the mercy of their fate which is now under the control of the Taliban.                        Meanwhile anarchy through Talibani Dictates is ruling Afghanistan.The result is people are desperate to leave the country at any cost. In a desperate bid to do so lots of people risking their lives don't hesitate clinging to even the wings of planes ready to take off.  The panic and impatience can be readily gauged from this uncommon traits of sane minds gone irrational. मैथिली साहित्य के हास्य-व्यंग्य-विनोद सम्राट स्व० प्रोफेसर हरिमोहन झा की एक रचना "झाजी'क चिठ्ठी" जो मैथिली में है, अभी हाल ही में पढ़ने का अवसर प्राप्त हुआ. उनकी ये रचना काफी पुरानी है जो लगभग १९५०-६० ई० के समय लिखी गई होगी.परिवेश भी उसी समय की कल्पना करके पढ़ना उचित होगा.               उसी मैथिली में उनकी इस रचना का मैंने कतिपय महत्वहीन परिवर्तन के साथ हिंदी में अनुवाद करने का प्रयत्न किया है.पढ़कर शायद अच्छा लगे.              वैसे किसी रचना का अनुवाद तो जोखिम भरा है हीं साथ हीं यह भी सत्य है कि वो मौलिकता,रस एवं भाव भी किसी रचना के अनुवाद में मिलना असम्भव है.         फिर भी चूंकि मैथिली मेरी मातृभाषा है और हिंदी बचपन से पढ़ी है इसलिए ऐसा करने का साहस जुटा सका हूं. ********************************************                          झाजी की चिठ्ठी आदरणीय सम्पादकजी,        आपका पत्र मिला. मुझे जो आपने कोई रचना भ...

राक्षसेन्द्र रावण की पत्नी मंदोदरी के बारे में रामचरितमानस को पढ़ने पर जितना कुछ जान सका हूँ, वह अत्यंत प्रभावित करने वाला है. मै अब तक जितने भी धार्मिक ग्रंथों को पढ़ सका हूँ, मुझे ऐसे बहुत कम उदाहरण मिले हैं जहाँ पत्नी अपने पति को कोई गलत कदम उठाने से मना करती हो-वह भी बार-बार. पत्नी द्वारा अपने पति को किसी गलत कार्य करने से रोकने टोकने सम्बंधी दृष्टांत धार्मिक ग्रंथों में कम हीं दिखते हैं.            यों तो सुग्रीव की पत्नी तारा ने भी अपने पति को बालि से युद्ध को रोका था किंतु मंदोदरी की तुलना तारा से नहीं हो सकती यद्यपि दोनों हीं पंचकन्यायें कहलाती हैं. मंदोदरी को जब भी ऐसा अवसर प्राप्त हुआ,उसने रावण से हमेशा ये विनती की कि "नाथ! श्रीराम को साधारण मनुष्य समझने की भूल न कीजिये. उनसे वैर मोल न लीजिये. उनकी पत्नी को आदरसहित विदा कर दीजिए.इसी में आपका और सम्पूर्ण निसिचर कुल की भलाई है.श्रीरामचन्द्रजी विश्वरुप जगदीश्वर हैं जो नर रूप धारण कर पृथ्वी पर अवतरित हुए हैं.मेरी बात मानिये स्वामी!." हतभाग्य रावण यदि जरा भी अपनी पत्नी की सलाह पर कान देता तो उसकी ये द...

 It is a generally acknowledged fact that social media platforms like Twitter,Whatsapp, acebook etc. have provided wings to the right of freedom of speech and expression. Rather the use of these platforms have become a part of everyday life. It has become impossible to think a life without this interface for the people world over. But these platforms stand more or less uncontrolled in so far as governments of the countries wherein they operate are concerned. The reason is not very far to seek. The CEOs of these companies are foreign nationals. Also the companies happen to be headquartered overseas with no branch offices situated anywhere else.  Driven by this sense of feeling indispensable and beyond control;these intermediaries often appear to disrespect or snub the law of the land where they operate. ***************************************** वर्षों पहले एक फिल्म देखी थी. इसमें खलनायक हीरो को कहता है-बोलो इस्लाम जिंदाबाद; हीरो उसे परिस्थितिवश दुहराता है. फिर खलनायक उसे कहता है-बोलो पाकिस्तान जिन्दाबाद; हीरो फिर उसे दुहराने को मजबूर है.बात न बनते देख खलनायक अपना आखिरी पत्ता फेंकता है. वह हीरो से कहता है -बोलो हिंदुस्तान मुर्दाबाद. ये सुनते हीं हीरो उस खास मक़सद से जमा किये गये मजमे को अपने कहर के आगोश में ले लेता है.            कहने का मतलब ये है कि- आप किसी "पैथी" के घोर समर्थक होते हैं या हैे ; इसमें भला किसी को क्या ऐतराज़ हो सकता है! अच्छा ये कत‌ई नहीं है कि समर्थन की आड़ में हम किसी अन्य पद्धति का परस्पर विरोध वो बदनाम करने की मुहिम शुरू कर दें. तब लगता है कि समर्थन या विरोध को किसी राजनीतिक विचारधारा या दुर्धष व्यापारिक हित ने उसे अपने हितसाधन का माध्यम बना लिया है और इसी खातिर इस गंदे मुहिम को सोशल मीडिया में गति,दिशा और प्रवाह प्रदान किया जा रहा है. खैर! हम आम आदमी कर भी क्या सकते हैं. इन सोशल मीडिया कम्पनी की महिमा अनंत है. ये सरकार तक को आंख दिख...

Were there any scientific law to measure humane value of an individual,I think, that would have been as follows:                        Humane value of an individual is directly proportional to his willingness to help every other individuals multiplied by the capacity of that Individual to help others around him.                 Be that as it may our value as a human being should not get impaired by our immature conduct. Despite being professionally competent it is not unusual to find someone who is not given his due for reasons of his immature behaviour. I suppose that much of mature behaviour depends upon learning the art of giving response to a situation. Quality of Response(QR) and Response Time(RT) are very important in any scientific experiments. A submission- The present piece of writing is an humble endeavour to explain in english the shlokas of the ईशावास्योपनिषद . It is based on the explanation in hindi in the Book  titled"ईशादि नौ उपनिषद्" published by the Gita Press.   I shall deem my labour amply repaid if it is found of some use to the English-reading people having interest in knowing what is troved in our ancient scriptures.  I am aware of the fact that to translate any text can never be without the risk of being erroneous. Likewise to strive for the mirror image of any text through any translatory endeavour is too naive and sometimes ridiculous also.So my objective is simply to ensure that the essence of this pious literary work remains intact even in this translatory endeavour at hand. However, in course of the instant attempt all errors & omissions(e&m) are entirely mine and the same may unhesitatingly be held as a result of my incompetence to deal with the subject-matter like this.
