So, birth of desire is natural. In fact, it is the product of our interaction with the environment and surroundings. One important thing, however, is how we manage those desires that continuously spring, grow and then either die or subside within our being.
In my opinion, those who do not let their desires take birth in their being must be great—or must have been great. I have not seen such people till now, nor have I ever met such a personality.
I feel your competence lies in the fact of how skillfully you handle your desires with the capacity or resources at your command.
The people who don't have any desire whatsoever must be dealing with the situation with the best capacity and intellect available to them at that time, without expecting any particular result from it.
For them, it is the situation that acts, and they react to it—not out of a sense of negativity, but positively, as the situation demands. They do not design it beforehand. They simply act with whatever intellect and capacity they have, which I call reacting to the situation, without any thought regarding the instrumentality of their action.
I feel I have not been able to state what I feel.
