Basically all human activities are either pleasure seeking or pain avoiding. Notwithstanding it is a reality that despite the best efforts undertaken to avoid pain we are not always able to pre empt the situation unfavourable to us. The reason is simple--we do not control all the variables that determine an event to happen or the opposite of it. In common parlance it is usually referred to as providence. The objective of the instant piece of writing is to let us appreciate that unfavourable circumstances or situation contain therein an opportunity to build ourselves in ways more than one. Here are some enumerations: *if the situation is unfavourable or turns out so a person of perseverance analyses as to why it is so or became so? This analysis enables him to correct his ways and means. While reviewing success is not usually resorted to but reviewing failures critically is always beneficial. जीव परमात्मा का अंश है; जन्म लेते ही उसे जो देह की प्राप्ति होती है वही कालक्रम में बढ़ता हुआ नाश को प्राप्त होता है। जीव का वह देह जन्म से लेकर नाश तक विभिन्न अवस्थाओं से गुजरता है। इन अवस्थाओं के specific नाम हैं जिसे हम बाल्यावस्था, किशोरावस्था, युवावस्था तथा जरावस्था कहते हैं और यही जराजर्जर शरीर जब नाश को प्राप्त होता है तो उसे मृत्यु की संज्ञा दी जाती है। जीव के देहधारण से देहत्याग के बीच का जो काल है, वही जीव का जीवन है। सूक्ष्मता से सोचने पर हमको यह पता चल सकता है कि जीवन ज्ञानियों की दृष्टि में भार क्यों है? आशय स्पष्ट है; आशा-तृष्णा, आसक्ति-अनुरक्ति, मोह-शोक, हर्ष-अमर्ष, राग-द्वेष, काम-क्रोध ये समस्त सूक्ष्म वृत्ति उस निर्मल जीवात्मा को जीवनपर्यन्त उन वृत्तियों का क्रीड़ामृग बनाये रखती है। इन द्वन्दाधात से दग्ध जीवन को भार न कहा जाय तो फिर क्या कहा जाय। देहावसान के पूर्व हीं जीवन को इस भार से मुक्त करना जीवन्मुक्त होना कहलाता है। देहत्याग(मृत्यु) जीवनमुक्ति कहीं से नहीं है। मृत्यु तो अशेष वासना से निर्धारित दूसरे देहधारण हेतु देहान्तरगमन का नाम है। यह ज्ञानाग्नि से दग्ध ...

R.R.Prabhakar  मनुष्य जीवन की सार्थकता भोगपारायण होने में नहीं है। समस्त शास्त्रों की यही सम्मति है कि भोगलिप्सा मनुष्य को अकिंचन एवं दीन बना देती है। जिस प्रकार असावधानी से हाथ से छूट कर कोई गेंद सीढ़ी पर नीचे लुढ़कता हीं चला जाता है उसी प्रकार भोगलिप्सा से पीड़ित मनुष्य भी भोग के आकर्षणवश स्वयं को लुढ़काता जाता है और उसकी गति की समाप्ति गर्त में होती है। भोगपरायण व्यक्ति का आत्मबल दिनानुदिन क्षीण होता चला जाता है। भोगलिप्सा का आत्मबल से ३६ का आंकड़ा है। आत्मबल क्या है? आत्मबल कहीं से भी अहंकार नहीं है। अहंकार का सम्बंध आत्मा से नहीं होता है। इसका सम्बन्ध शरीर से है।अहंकार अहं का आकार है जो अज्ञान से सिंचित होकर बढ़ता ही जाता है और अंततः विनाशकारी होता है। इसके विपरीत आत्मबल कल्याणकारी होता है। सच कहिये तो यह शुद्ध रूप से आत्मा का बल है। मेरा तो मानना है कि बाहुबल, धनबल, भौतिकबल आदि सभी बलों से श्रेष्ठ आत्मबल  है।इस संसार में मृत्यु को महान भय के रूप में ख्याति प्राप्त है। आत्मा का बल इतना प्रबल होता है कि उसके समक्ष इस मृत्यु का भय भी उसी तरह विलीन हो जाता है जिस तरह...

श्रीशंकराचार्य कई दृष्टिकोण से युग प्रवर्तक थे।इसमें कोई संदेहनहीं कि वे दार्शनिक जगत के सबसे अधिक देदीप्यमान रत्न हैं, बड़े-बड़े विद्वानों ने उन्हें 'दार्शनिक सार्वभौम' कह कर सम्मानित किया है। आचार्य शंकर का योगदान विस्मयकारी है जिन्होंने अपने प्रकाण्ड पांडित्य, अदम्य उद्योग और कुशल सांगठनिक क्षमता से डूबते हुए वैदिक धर्म का पुनरुद्धार किया। उनके मत को सम्पूर्ण विश्व अद्वैतवाद से जानता है।अद्वैतवाद को विद्वान मायावाद या अध्यासवाद भी कहते हैं जिसका कारण आगे स्वतः स्पष्ट हो जायेगा। ब्रह्म और जीव आचार्य शंकर का स्पष्ट मत था कि ब्रह्म और जीव दोनों एक हीं हैं। जैसे समुद्र हो या सरिता हो या फिर सरोवर हो, सभी प्रकृति से एक हीं हैं क्योंकि सभी जल को हीं धारित करते हैं भले हीं जलधारणक्षमताजनितआकार में वे परस्पर भिन्न प्रतीत होते हैं। यही बात ब्रह्म और जीव के संदर्भ में भी है ; अर्थात ब्रह्म और जीव(आत्मा) दोनों की प्रकृति एक सी है, ये तात्विक रूप से एक हीं हैं। क्या हम समुद्र के किनारे खड़ा होकर समुद्र के आकार का अनुमान कर सकते हैं? नहीं न! उसी तरह ब्रह्म का स्वरूप इतना विशाल ...

क्या यह सम्भव है? आइये विचारते हैं। जिसने कुतर्क का आश्रय ले रखा हो तथा जो  शास्त्रवचन के प्रति दुराग्रह रखता हो उसे तो साक्षात ब्रह्मा भी समझाने में असमर्थ होते हैं तथापि युक्ति से यह इस प्रकार समझा जा सकता है - दूध को लीजिए। एक निश्चित अवधि के बाद इसमें विकार उत्पन्न हो जाता है तथा प्रायः एक दिन बाद ही वह दुर्गन्धयुक्त होकर नाश को प्राप्त हो जाता है।किन्तु  इसी दूध में दही का निवास है और मथने के अनन्तर मख्खन तथा घी जो बनता है उसका अस्तित्व भी इसी दूध में है।अर्थात जिस प्रकार दही, मख्खन और घी का निवास दूध में है उसी प्रकार आत्मा का तात्कालिक निवास यह शरीर है।दूध की अपेक्षा घी का अस्तित्व वर्षों तक है। इसलिए युक्ति से दूध को नश्वर और घी को अविनाशी समझने पर आशय समझ में आ जाना चाहिए कि अविनाशी आत्मा का निवास नश्वर शरीर में किस प्रकार सम्भव है। अन्तरदृष्टि से सम्पन्न पुरूष के लिए यह उसी तरह आश्चर्यजनक नहीं है जिस तरह कोई सामान्य जन के लिए दूध में दही, मख्खन या घी का अस्तित्व। इसे वह दूध में प्रत्यक्षतः न देखकर भी अपने सामान्य ज्ञान से वह सहज ही सम्भव पाता है। ब्रह्मसूत्र, ...
