What is work?
Work is a planned activity that is perceived to be meaningful for a person looking for some gain of sorts. This gain may be economic or other than it. Notwithstanding work in popular sense of the term has come to associate itself with physical activity for economic gains. Only through work life attains its fulfillment. Right to work, not the fruit of that work, is an inherent right of an individual; and Right to fruit is an impossibility. Therefore a person must learn how to exercise this right to work particularly against oneself only. That too, with a sense of detachment and dedication.
Thus dedication with detachment is key to doing any work. It provides happiness of undescribable character.
Work is indispensable for both mental and physical well-being. A work executed to the satisfaction of self is a great source of happiness. Hard work of complex nature requiring more mental and physical energy, if completed according to the expectation or planning, gives immense satisfaction and happiness.
Ask those who have no work to do. They are a dejected lot chafing under the situation which are largely his own creation only. Making the adverse situation workable by the resources we have is by itself a great work.
Thus if you do not have work, seek it.
Humanity finds best expressions in the good work done for one another. It will make you feel better than sitting idle and leaving yourself on providence.
Reatlessness lies in worklessness.
Even if the work appears to be dull and boring a little amount of reflection would show that even that boring work when continued with perseverance turns out interesting. Don't think that a particular work is exciting or some are boring. It is we who make it exciting or boring by the way we do it or with an attitude we approach it.
