बिहारी बाबू से बंगाली बाबू मेरे बड़े भाई आजकल पटना आए हुए हैं. चिकित्सीय परामर्श के बाद कुछ दिनों में वापस गांव लौट जाएंगे. कार्यालय से वापस घर लौट कर जब भी उनके पास बैठता हूं तो प्रायः कुछ न कुछ सीखने को मिल ही जाता है.  आज आसनसोल उपचुनाव के संदर्भ में चली चर्चा के क्रम में उन्होंने कहा कि किसी भी व्यक्ति को दो तरह का संकट उसे महत्वहीन एवं उद्विग्न कर देता है और वह अपने हीं द्वारा लिए गए तरह-तरह के निर्णय का शिकार हो जाता है.  पहला है-पहचान का संकट और दूसरा-विश्वास का संकट.                ये दोनों संकट आपस में मिलकर एक तीसरा संकट को उत्पन्न कर देता है जिसे हम "निर्णय का संकट" या "decisional-crisis" कहते हैं.इसका परिणाम दूरगामी होता है.              पहचान बदलते रहने से पहचान का संकट उपस्थित होता है और विश्वास बदलने से विश्वास का संकट उपस्थित हो जाता है. इसलिए यथाशक्ति व्यक्ति को न तो अपनी पहचान बदलनी चाहिए चाहे वह कितनी ही छोटी क्यों न हो और न हीं अपने विश्वास को तर्क के सामने तिरोहित होने देना चाहिए च...

Basic difference between the texts of sanatana dharma and books of other religions. *********************************************** I have not studied the Gita in the depth. Only some bare readings of it I can say to have had made of this text.I have not studied texts of other religions either even superficially. My knowledge of matters of religious importance is specious. Many of us,including myself, may not be knowing that last Saturday of the month of March every year is to be observed as Earth Hour Day the world over; courtesy World Wildlife Fund(WWF). Knowledge of this "Day" to me came through my daughter who is in the habit of testing my knowledge and awareness through her competitive exams related accumulated knowledge and newly acquired information.The testing goes on her part despite my confession of my drooping level of awareness.           It is WWF that initiated in the year 2007 a campaign of awareness regarding climate change about which we the supposedly intelligent and brilliant generation feel good to talk only doing precious little for it to improve.  This lapse is perhaps born out of impression that such concerns for environment, global warming etc. etc should be of top leaders', academics' and environmentalists'; not common people's. *********************************************** Coming back to this Ear...

पापों का चेक-लिस्ट शास्त्र गर्हित-वर्जित या निषिद्ध-अवांछित कर्मों में लिप्त रहने को हीं पाप मानता है. मोटे तौर पर जो कर्म दूसरे से छुपाकर या छिप कर किया जाय; विश्लेषण से अवांछित या फिर पापकर्म हो सकता है. वैसे प्रत्यक्षतः किए गए कुछ कार्य भी पापश्रेणी में आते हैं. द्रौपदी का चीरहरण भी तो प्रत्यक्षतः भरी सभा में सत्ता के बल पर किया गया था.  मेरे विचार से यदि आप स्वयं को इन कर्मों में लिप्त नहीं पाते हैं और अपना कर्तव्यकर्म राग-द्वेष से मुक्त होने का प्रयास करते हुए पूरी निष्ठा एवं क्षमता से किए जा रहे हैं तो आपका जीवन पापमय से इतर होने के कारण तब इसे अनायास पुण्यमय हीं कहा जाएगा.  पुण्य अलग से कोई चीज नहीं है. इसके लिए पूजा-अर्चना,जप-योग, तीर्थ करने की आवश्यकता नहीं है.           वैसे संक्षेप में पाप और पुण्य की व्याख्या व्यासरचित एक प्रसिद्ध श्लोक से बेहतर नहीं हो सकती जिसमें उन्होंने कहा है- अष्टादश पुराणेषु व्यासस्य वचनद्वयम् । परोपकारः पुण्याय पापाय परपीडनम् ।। इस "कलियुग" की तो मुनि-महात्मा से लेकर आमजन सभी विभिन्न रूपों में आलोचना करते हैं किन्तु...

🍁             🍁 *सागरके मोती* *भविष्य की चिन्ता न करके विचार करे, पर भूत को बिल्कुल छोड़ दे।*  तत्व सदा वर्तमान रहता है। हम सिनेमा में भूत-भविष्य-वर्तमान को अपनी दृष्टि से देखते हैं, पर फिल्म में क्या ये तीन काल हैं ? उसमें तो सब कुछ वर्तमान है। *जैसे सिनेमा अँधेरे में दीखता है, प्रकाश में नहीं, ऐसे ही संसार अज्ञान रूपी अन्धकार में दीखता है, ज्ञानरूपी प्रकाश में नहीं।* ज्ञान में भूत भविष्य वर्तमान है ही नहीं। जैसे सिनेमा में पर्दा ज्यों-का त्यों रहता है, उसमें कोई फर्क पड़ता ही नहीं, ऐसे ही तत्व ज्यों-का-त्यों रहता है।  *राम ! राम !! राम !!!* परम पूज्य स्वामी रामसुखदासजी महाराज.

हे प्रभु! दुनिया आपको दयासिंधु कहती है जो यथार्थ हीं है. सच कहें तो मुझे आपको छोड़ किसी पर भरोसा नहीं है; यहां तक कि अपने आप पर भी नहीं.           इसलिए मेरी आपसे एक विनती है प्रभु!-आप मेरे मनोभाव, मेरी मन:स्थिति,अज्ञानता तथा इच्छा पर दयापूर्वक विचार जरूर कीजिए; किंतु हमसे करवाइये वही जो मेरे लिए सही और मेरे सहित सभी के हित में हो. विशेष क्या कहें;आप स्वयं अन्तर्यामी हैं.                  🙏🙏🙏             राजीव रंजन प्रभाकर.                १२.०३.२०२२.

मेरी तरह यदि आप भी ग्रामीण परिवेश से आते होंगे तो आपने भी कम से कम अतीत में जरूर देखा होगा कि जब कोई पिता कच्चे फूस या खपरैल वाले घर से बाहर निकलने को चलता था तो कैसे नंगे-अधखुले बदन कोई तीन-चार वर्ष का उसका बेटा कच्ची मिट्टी वाले आंगन में दौड़ता हुआ आकर अपने पिता के पैरों से लिपट जाता था. वह नन्हा सा बालक भी अपने पिता के साथ चलने की जिद पर अड़ा रहता. पैरों से लिपटा-रोता वह धूल-धूसरित बालक जब अपने बाप के पैरों से लिपट जाता था तो बाप के लिए एक कदम आगे चलना भी एक तरह से मुश्किल हो जाता था.          किंतु उसके पिता की भी कुछ अपनी मजबूरियां होती थी जो उसे अपने बच्चे को साथ ले जाने से असमर्थ बनाती थी. इसमें उसका दूर-देश मोरंग में नौकरी करना भी शामिल होता था जो उसे अपने बाल बच्चे और परिवार से दूर रह उसी परिवार और बच्चे के लिए किसी सेठ के यहां मुंशी की नौकरी कर दो-चार सौ रुपए बजरिए मनीआर्डर भेज पाने में समर्थ बनाता था.  खैर,वो अलग प्रकरण है. यहां हम बात उस नन्हें से बालक की कर रहे हैं जो पिता के पैरों से लिपट साथ जाने के लिए रोए जा रहा है. *******************...

आज चूंकि छुट्टी का दिन था तो मैंने सोचा इसका अधिकांश शब्दारण्य में भ्रमण कर व्यतीत किया जाय. शब्द-वन में मैं पहले भी आदतन बल्कि अकारण जाया करता था जब मैं एक छात्र हुआ करता था और वहां से प्रफुल्लित मन वापस लौटता था क्योंकि लौटते समय मेरे हाथ में वन के कुछ चित्र-विचित्र जंगली फल भी रहते थे जिसे देख मेरे कुछ मित्रकहते थे-अरे! ये तो पहले नहीं देखा था; कहां से लाए? मैं यह सुनकर मन ही मन प्रसन्न होता था.      सारांशत: उस जंगल में मुझे हमेशा कुछ न कुछ मिला ही जिसका कर्जदार मैं आजीवन रहूंगा. इससे उऋण होना सम्भव हीं नहीं. कहिए कि यह भ्रमण मेरा एक favourite pastime हुआ करता था. इस कारण शब्दों से मेरी एक तरह से गहरी दोस्ती हो गई थी. किंतु कहते हैं न कि नौकरी लोगों को बहुत कुछ देती है तो बहुत कुछ छीन भी लेती है सो वह छिन जानेवाली चीज में किसी का hobby भी प्रायः शामिल रहता है.  अब मेरे शब्दों के इस जंगल की सैर करने की आदत लगभग छूट सी गई है.इस आदत के छूटने का मुझ पर जो असर हुआ वह मुझे बहुत दुःखी करता है. अब तो हाल ये है कि ‌क‌ई सुंदर,सलोने,सजीले शब्द जो पहले मुझे देख खिलखिला उठते ...

Just as indifference or abdication or surrender is not tolerance, determining/or administering a rule should not be taken to mean discrimination as the recent hijab(face cover popularly known as burqa) controversy is purported to be given a colour in the name of religion or faith.  If any indifference has been forsaken towards observing the rule in the interest of one and all should it be frowned upon?  Wearing hijab by students of particular faith in the state run institution, if held contrary to any rule, has not only been frowned upon but now has assumed the proportion of a protest with vehemence.         Is it only because it was allowed as a normal practice now under check on the basis of some rule or something else lay in its root? ****************************************************  In order to understand the issue in deeper details I reproduce verbatim the news captioned "Explained: Court Rulings on Hijab" in the bracket below that was publish...

बात पुरानी है जब मैं एक सरकारी विद्यालय में पढ़नेवाला एक छात्र हुआ करता था. ऐसे सरकारी विद्यालय में वर्ष में दो बार हीं परीक्षाएं होती थीं; एक अर्धवार्षिक दूसरी वार्षिक परीक्षा कहलाती थी. अर्ध-वार्षिक का उतना महत्व तो नहीं किंतु वार्षिक-परीक्षा जिसमें पास करना अगली कक्षा में जाने के लिए आवश्यक होता था,का महत्व स्वाभाविक रूप से ज्यादा था.  आजकल के मोडर्न जमाने की परीक्षा के तामझाम से बिलकुल अलग तब ये परीक्षा मार्च-अप्रैल में आयोजित न होकर दिसंबर में हीं हो जाती थी और उसका रिजल्ट भी प्रायः दिसंबर के अंत तक या अधिक से अधिक जनवरी के पहले हफ्ते के भीतर हीं सुना दिया जाता था और उसके बाद नयी कक्षा में किताबें ले जाने हेतु लड़के अपने-अपने गार्जियन को किताब खरीदने के लिए तगादा करना शुरू कर देते थे.             हां! मैं उस कटेगरी के लड़के की बात कर रहा हूं जिसका परिवार प्रबल अर्थाभाव के चलते परीक्षा फीस से लेकर किताबें आदि खरीदने तक में कमोवेश परेशानी महसूस करता था किन्तु अपने बच्चों को पढ़ाना भी उतना हीं आवश्यक समझता था. यह तब और कठिन हो जाता था जब भाई-बहन...

प्रोन्नति में आरक्षण की न्यायनिर्णय अधीन/चालित यात्रा ********************************************** आरक्षण भारतीय राजव्यवस्था में दशकों से एक Vexed Issue रहा है. कभी नियुक्ति के मामले में तो कभी प्रोन्नति के मामले में.   पहले की बात है जब मैं सेवा में नया-नया आया था तो मेरे एक एसडीओ साहब जो सेवा में मुझसे काफी सिनियर थे; अक्सर कहते थे-प्रभाकर! *********************************************** Normally I don't watch TV. The reason is-It fails to attract me.But this non-attraction of mine comes no way in the way of the members of my family.
