A Lesson for India and its neighbours: Courtesy Russian Attack on Ukraine.
A lesson for Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan and of course India;courtesy Russian Attack on Ukraine.
**********************************************
Ukraine is under siege. All hopes of help from Nato, America and EU are specious to the point of these being limited to verbal protest coupled with inconsequential sanctions on Russia.
The upshot is blatantly visible. Kiev is on the verge of collapse. Building after building is crumbling at the behest of the Kremlin.
Ukrainian president Jelenski has been brought to heels. He has,a short while ago, offered surrender to the unrelenting Russia.
***********************************************
As of now there's no military intervention in support of Ukraine by any of its wellwishers including its prospective allies of NATO the membership of which Kiev was seen pining for a few days ago.
The latest update is that America and the EU are busy deliberating only to bide time while watching Ukraine crumble into debris under Russian Attack. Ukraine in the face of the unceasing Russian attack has been left in the lurch. No allies of its have come forward in the visible way to the solace of Kiev.
***********************************************
Why I feel prompted to describe the situation in the above mentioned lines is only to underline that one may feel good to see one's powerful friends sitting beside and sometimes hobnobbing; but the same friends will not rise to the occasion to render you the help or support you expect from them. If the help you seek is military one;please rest assured that it will not materialize the way you planned.
We have observed that international help finds the best expression when it is solicited under situations of natural disaster or pandemic like situations in which case all countries compete with one another to be a good Samaritan.
***********************************************
Both India and Pakistan should draw lessons from this attack.
Similarly the attitude and conduct of the friends we boast of should be a matter of close circumspection before we plan anything keeping them in loop.
***********************************************
India should not be over enthusiastic with America.
Friendlessness is always a better option than friendliness amidst the environment occupied by fair weather friends.
So should Pakistan;even Nepal too, in matters of China.
They should cease become a toy in the hands of China who is a wolf in lamb's clothing to say the least.
***********************************************
America, China and Russia lack such things as can make them friends of any country in need of such character and proportion.
The humanity has seen how America withdrew from Afghanistan leaving the hapless people there at the icy hands of fundamentalist Talibani heretics.
The more powerful you become the more you remain self-centred in the most sophisticated and diplomatic way. you are more removed from human qualities.
The more diplomatic you become the more measured your response happens to be; which quite often is of no use to contain global unrest.
Similarly gone are the days when world wars were fought through the strategy of making alliances like Allied Power or Axis Powers. There has been a paradigm shift in the situation since then. Each one has only to rely on oneself only and none else while planning to go for a fight with anyone.
***********************************************
One more thing to add is that our international leaders have yet to become mature enough to keep their narrow national interest subordinated to the international need of peace and happiness and prosperity.
