We take recourse to policy making to address our needs that always keep on changing. I feel those behind the new education policy must have felt some thing amiss in the present education system. The flaws as perceived by them apropos of the existing policy might have prompted them to go for a new one. Truly speaking, I don't know for certain what exactly are these flaws as perceived by them and in what way the new one seeks to eliminate or rectify them to say the least. Nevertheless I should have reason to believe that since any policy is formulated by the best minds employed by government in power, the new education policy should fulfill the need and expectations of the people of India in general and stakeholders in particulars. A little reflection would make it amply clear that this world would not have existed had there been no feeling of ' me','my' and 'mine' amongst us.  For this world to exist and enable us to lead the life of a गृहस्थ     (literally meaning an individual whose abode is 'house' i.e one engaged in household affairs)we just cannot do away with these feelings. We must appreciate that when we refer to the word 'house' it further gives rise to the consideration 'whose'?  It must be someone's; either mine  or yours or somebody else's. This explains the inevitablity of existence of subtle feelings of possession that drives an individual to keep going in this world. Otherwise you have to be an ascetic.
