The Bhagwadgita -- Explaining Relationship Amongst Body & Its Organs; Mind & Intellect.

Let's take refuge in the following verse that is in Chapter III of the this Text.

इन्द्रियाणि पराण्याहुरिन्द्रियेभ्य: परं मन:।
मनसस्तु परा बुद्धिर्यो बुद्धे: परतस्तु स:।।

 Bodily Organs(इन्द्रियाणि) [Action Organs (कर्मेन्द्रिय)+Sense Organs(ज्ञानेन्द्रिय)] > Body itself(स्थूल शरीर) [Body = A lump of Mass having no value in/by itself.]
                            *****
Mind(मन) > Any or all Organs of the Body(कोई सा भी कर्मेंद्रिय या ज्ञानेन्द्रिय या फिर उसका कोई सा भी समुच्चय)
                           *****
Intellect (बुद्धि)> Mind(मन)
Mind doesn't care for means & result whereas Intellect always takes into account what are the means and what may be the result of giving honour to what the mind says.
                           *****
 Desire(काम) > बुद्धि (Intellect)

But this Intellect despite being so brilliant has often been found to be punctured by Desire
                           *****
                             ~
The Result is far from propitious because then it destroys Reason which is the output of the intellect.
                           *****
Therefore,
Let's bring it to the level expressed mathematically as
                          (D<=I)
***********************************************
Residence of this Desire is our Bodily Organs, Mind & Intellect.
(इन्द्रियाणि मनो बुद्धिरस्याधिष्ठानमुच्यते)
This Desire(काम) in latent and patent from has the capacity to cover our wisdom(ज्ञान) just in a  way the smoke(धूम) envelopes  fire(अग्नि) within or beneath or a layer of durt(धूल) upon a mirror(दर्पण) or the embryo(गर्भ) hidden in amneotic fluid(जेर).
and hence
So the Bhagwadgita exhorts---
Know this Desire as your Enemy-in-Chief and Kill it to the best of your capacity acquired by the practice of detachment.
