The Ramcharitmanas and the Bhagwadgita.

The Ramcharitmanas and the Bhagwadgita-
The two together constitutes the treasury of knowledge, wisdom, devotion and many more that I can't even visualise.
Imbibing the two provides one with a valid ticket to the journey of THIS WORLD which is full of trials and tribulations.
Not only that; If life after death is a fact not fiction, it serves as a passport to the safe  travel to THAT WORLD also.
I unmistakeably believe that so long as the Ramcharitmanas and the Bhagwadgita will continue to inform our lives we shall always be able to navigate ourselves to emerge out of the quagmire which, generally speaking, is more or less creation of our own.
***********************************************Whether it is knowledge or wisdom or devotion or understanding or whatever you seek out of it; both are equally great. 
However some hold that while The Ramcharitmanas suits those very well who are less accomplished academically.
 The Manas equips them with the "Bhakti" which needs no qualification whatsoever while the Bhagwadgita is the forte of the learned ones who are seeker of truth, wisdom and knowledge of higher order. 
But the above distinction is specious to say the least. There is everything in the two for all the seekers whether driven by the urge for भक्ति or ज्ञान. The true seeker ultimately finds that persuing ONE readily results in the accomplishment of the OTHER.
*********************************************** Personally for me, if I am to choose between the two I will try to escape the scene.
I am asking you what will be your response if you are told to choose between your mother and father?
Ever since my parents left me for heavenly abode,I hold the Ramcharitmanas as my Mother and the Bhagwadgita- my Father. 
In case of any difficulty or problem I look with hope for a help only to this adopted parents of mine. 
Ever since the demise of my eldest brother this date last month my dependency upon this adopted parents has increased even more than what it happened to be in the past.

आम बोलचाल में तो नहीं किन्तु विद्वतमंडली में शास्त्रचर्चा के समय अपने तर्क के समर्थन में अथवा किसी विषय विशेष पर अपना आग्रह, समानता, दृष्टांत या निदर्शना हेतु कतिपय लोकरूढ़ नीतिवाक्य की सहायता ली जाती है। ऐसे हीं कुछ लोकरूढ़ नीतिवाक्यों को पाठकों के प्रसंगानुकूल उपयोग के लिए संग्रह करके नीचे रखा गया है। १. अंधचटकन्याय : जब अपात्र व्यक्ति को कुछ कीमती वस्तु अनायास प्राप्त हो जाता है तो हम सहसा हीं कह बैठते हैं - अंधे के हाथ बटेर लग गया। अंधचटकन्याय यही है। २. अंधपरम्परान्याय :- जब लोग बिना विचारे दूसरों का अंधानुकरण करने लगते हैं। ३. अरूंधती दर्शनन्याय - ज्ञात से अज्ञात का पता लगाना। ४. अशोकवनिका न्याय - रावण ने सीता को अशोक वाटिका में रखा था, परन्तु उसने और स्थानों को छोड़ इसी वाटिका में क्यों रक्खा, इसका कोई विशेष कारण नहीं बताया जा सकता। अर्थात सारांश यह कि जब मनुष्य के पास किसी कार्य को सम्पन्न करने के अनेक साधन प्राप्त हों, तो यह उसकी अपनी इच्छा है कि वह चाहे किसी साधन को अपना ले। ऐसी अवस्था में किसी भी साधन को अपनाने का कोई विशेष कारण नहीं दिया जा सकता। ५. अश्मलोष्टन्याय -...

भावग्राही जनार्दनः

जीवनपर्यंत हम कुछ न कुछ करते हीं रहते हैं. यह भी सच है कि कुछ किये बिना रह भी नहीं सकते. प्राणयात्रा से लेकर शारीरिक यात्रा भी बिना कर्म किये असम्भव है. कहना अतिशयोक्ति नहीं होगा कि स्वार्थ से लेकर परमार्थ तक हमारी सारी गतिविधियां प्रायः स्वयं को केन्द्र में रखकर ही होती है. किन्तु ईश्वर को हमारे इन कर्मों से कोई मतलब नहीं है.  उनको यदि सरोकार है तो हमारी उन क्रियाओं के पीछे छुपे भाव से. वे ये भी नहीं देखते कि उन्हें भजने वाला मूरख है या विद्वान. वे तो केवल प्रेम देखते हैं, भावना देखते हैं,समर्पण देखते हैं. तभी एक श्लोक है कि व्याकरणज्ञान से रहित कोई मूर्ख शुद्धश्रद्धाभावेन 'विष्णवे नमः' के बदले 'विष्णाय नमः' का भी पाठ करे तो फल की दृष्टि से कोई अंतर नहीं होगा; कारण भगवान् क्रियाग्राही हैं ही नहीं, वे तो भावग्राही ठहरे. मूर्खो वदति विष्णाय धीरो वदति विष्णवे। तयोः फलं तुल्यं हि भावग्राही जनार्दनः।। वे तो इतने भावग्राही हैं कि प्रेमपूर्वक अर्पित पत्र, पुष्प, फल वा जल को खा तक लेते है. इसे देखने का न तो हममें सामर्थ्य है न हीं सारग्राहिणी-सूक्ष्मदर्शिणी बुद्धि. पत्...
