बड़ा कौन? ******************************************************** बड़ा वही है जो अपने व्यवहार से दूसरे को बड़ा बना दे.      दूसरे शब्दों में; जिसके पास जाकर-बैठकर आप खुद को छोटा महसूस नहीं करते, वही बड़ा है. ******************************************************** एक कहानी अमिताभ बच्चन साहब केबीसी के एक शो के दौरान हौट-सीट पर आये एक प्रतिभागी को सुना रहे थे. शायद आपमें से क‌ई लोग उस शो को देखे भी होंगे.                          कहानी बेशक अच्छी है और यदि कहें तो इसमें जो संदेश निहित है वह वास्तव में व्यक्ति और समाज दोनों में बदलाव लाने में कारगर है.              जो लोग बड़े हैं या खुद को बड़ा समझते हैं उनके लिए तो यह और भी अनुकरणीय है क्योंकि ऐसा करने से वे पहले से ज्यादा बड़े हो जाएंगे. ******************************************************** कहानी ये है कि गणित के अंकों में से अंक नौ ने एक बार पता नहीं क्यों अंक आठ को थप्पड़ मार दिया. अंक आठ ने नौ को पूछा- तूने मुझे थप्...

ठबकि न चालिबा. *************************************************** पैर पटक—पटक कर मत चलो. शोरगुल मत करो जिंदगी में. ऐसे गुजर जाओ कि किसी को पता न चले. अनुपस्थित रहो. परमात्मा के होने का ढंग यही है.परमात्मा है, चारों तरफ उपस्थित है, लेकिन पता नहीं चलता.उसकी कला क्या है? उसकी कला है-ठबकि न चालिबा.. वह पैर पटक—पटक कर नहीं चलता. आंखों में उंगली डाल—डाल कर तुम्हें दिखाता नहीं कि देखो मुझे. परमात्मा उपस्थित है—अनुपस्थित होकर. है वह मौजूद; किंतु वह दिखाई उनको ही पड़ता है जो खुद भी अनुपस्थित हो जाते हैं, जो खुद भी बिलकुल शून्य हो जाते हैं.बस उनकी ही आंखों में उसकी छवि बन पाती है. ठबकि न चालिबा……. लोग कितने अकड़ कर चल रहे हैं! अकड़े जा रहे हैं; ऐंठे जा रहे हैं.  व्यर्थ ही अकड़े जा रहे हैं. *************************************************** तुमने खयाल किया? रास्ते पर तुम अकेले चलते हो तुम एक ढंग से चलते हो.अगर रास्ता सुनसान पड़ा हो, कोई भी न हो, सुबह तुम घूमने निकले हो, तुम एक ढंग से चलते हो. तुम्हारे चलने में ठबक नहीं होती. लेकिन फिर अचानक दो आदमी रास्ते पर निकल आयें, तुम्हारी चाल बदल जाती है....

It's a fact that with the very inception of formal schools, colleges and universities in compliance with the Macaulay system in our country we people have been trained to think that education is only that which is taught in these formal institutions. Our mind in this system was trained in a special way to think that only those are educated who have a degree issued from a formal institution set-up by the State. ******************************************************* The objective of the Macaulay System was nothing beyond the creation of a native educated class designed to support and assist in various ways the ruling class what the Britishers presumed themselves.   The system so devised lay more emphasis on "education" than "learning."  Education or learning gained informally or through self-help didn't have any place in the system that we inherited from the British and decided to nurture it further on the lines prescribed by them.  We have forgotten that Sur...

As we grow old we begin to feel that the  surrounding situations either facilitates us to move ahead or they act to militate against the  objective or goal of a person.  We may also note that these situations themselves do not remain static as they themselves keep on moving in a pattern, generally not known to us. It is our competence & providence that act together simultaneously to build a situation which,at a particular time, accelerates or retards the motion on the path of destiny.           As long as one is alive one can't escape this net of destiny;the warp and weft of which is competence & providence. ******************************************************* Our competence is determined by the knowledge we acquire,the skill we develop and the experience we gather. ***************************************************** आज अंतरराष्ट्रीय वृद्धजन दिवस (०१.१०.२०२२) है.  बुजुर्ग आज प्रायः "अपनों" से हीं "उपेक्षा" का दंश झेलने को अभिशप्त हैं.   उससे भी अधिक चिंता की बात अब ये हो चली है कि ये "उपेक्षा" अब तेजी से "क्रूरता"में बदल रही है.  ये "अपने" उनके कुछ ऐसे अपने हैं जिन्हें हम बेटा-बहू या बेटी-दामाद कहते हैं जिन्हें बनाने संवारने में उन्होंने क्या कुछ सही-गलत नहीं किया.  इन बुजुर्गों को सम्मान देना तो दूर इनसे सीधे मुंह बात इनका अपना हीं बेटा-बेटी नहीं करता;दूसरा भले ही करे.          क्या अनपढ़ क्या पढ़ा लिखा! इस मामले में सभी एक जैसे पाये जा रहे हैं. बल्कि पढ़ा-लिखा तो सूक्ष्म रूप से अपमानित करने में अनपढ़ से एक कदम आगे निकले दीख रहे हैं.           निश्चित रूप से वे भाग्यशाली हैं जो अपने घर में रहकर अपने बेटे-बहू से या उनके बच्चे से आदर-सम्मान एवं सेवा लाभ प्राप्त करते हैं. वरना अब तो पटना जैसे शहरों में भी क‌ई वृद्धाश्रम खुल गये हैं जहां ऐसे उपेक्षित बुजुर्ग अपना अंतकाल व्यती...
