The Srimad Bhagwadgita:Why is it held superior to other Hindu Holy Scriptures?

गीता सुगीता कर्तव्याः किमन्यैः शास्त्रसङ्ग्रहैः ।
या स्वयं पद्मनाभस्य मुखपद्माद्विनिःसृताः।।
   (The Mahabharata,
                                 Bhishma Parva, 43/1)
This shloka from the Mahabharata is sufficient to highlight immeasurable importance of the Srimad Bhagwadgita.
The composer, Lord Vedvyas, asserts by way of questioning to one and all that-
What is the use of collecting and remaining indulged in any other holy scriptures if one has been heeding to follow with devotion the teachings of the Lord in the Gita?
The reason: In the verse-
The composer वेदव्यास himself clarifies that the Gita is not like any other holy book. Its distinction over other scriptures is well pronounced. For this is the only Book wherein Lord Himself is seen conversing with his disciple so dear to Him.
It is believed that the oldest scripture the world over are the Vedas. The Vedas themselves are known to have come from Brahma(ब्रह्मा) who himself owes his own origin to the Navel of the Lord(पद्मनाभ).
And the Gita? Don't we know that it has flowed from the very holy mouth of the revered पद्मनाभ?
Thus by the use of word 'पद्मनाभ' by the composer in the above sholka an inference has been made that the Gita is even superior to the Vedas; since the Vedas owe their origin to ब्रह्मा and ब्रह्मा himself traces his origin from the navel of the Lord(पद्मनाभ).
And the Gita owes its existence to the holy Lotus Lipped Lord Himself(मुखपद्माद्विनिःसृताः) gracing and blessing his beloved disciple(अर्जुन) to bring the latter out of the quagmire of delusion.
Hence the superiority of the Gita.
