I have some questions to myself. I am writing this in anticipation of being helped by those who consider themselves to be mature. A couple of days ago an incident took place in the history of judiciary which will not only impact but haunt this august institution for years to come. A Judge of the Hon'ble Patna High Court happened to feel so perturbed at the state of affairs within the judiciary that he  caused an order passed whereby blatant corruption and its veiled protection under the garb of discretionary power of the court in granting bail was exposedly discussed threadbare. In course of passing the said order the learned judge took an opportunity to describe in details inter alia -- how things have nosedived to such a level that Judges are frequently found buttering the Chief Justice to gain the favour of the latter. ---how all of sudden as many as seven judges drawn from the same batch of the same law college were appointed in the High Court. The term is rather subject to multiple interpretations. They depend upon personal reflections of each individuals as to what, according to her/him, the life stands to mean. Also the way one leads one's life plays a crucial part to enable one to understand what life is. That means meaning and purpose of life keeps on changing with the changing experience of (or about) reality. And what is reality? मेरे हाथ में लेखनी है। इसकी क्या उपयोगिता है? यही न कि ये हमारे लिखने के काम आती है? मोबाइल है, इसका उपयोग हम एक दूसरे से बातचीत या ऐसी हीं और कई सुविधाएं जो यह प्रदान करती है, के वास्ते करते हैं। विचारने पर सहज ही यह समझ में आ जाता है कि निर्जीव कलम या मोबाइल की अपने आप में कोई सत्ता नहीं है, जब तक इससे लिखा न जाय, इसकी सहायता से बोला न जाय, इसका क्या उपयोग! थोड़ी देर के लिए अगर मान लिया जाय तो सत्ता है उस कलम से लिखनेवाले की, उस मोबाइल की सहायता से बोलनेवाले की जो इस कलम को या मोबाइल को श्रेय दिलाती है जब हम सुनते हैं कि फलां तो कलम के सिपाही हैं या वे तो ठहरे कलम के जादूगर! अस्तु। यह भी कि यह कलम या मोबाइल मेरे पास हमेशा नहीं रहेगी, इसलिये जब तक यह हमारे स्वत्व या अधिकार में है हम इसका उत्तम उपयोग करें यही प्रायः हमारा उद्देश्य होता है। जहां इनका सदुपयोग हमें समाज में सफलता या प्रतिष्ठा दिलाता है वहीं इनका दुरुपयोग या असावधानीपूर्वक किया गया उपयोग हमें लोकनिंदा या कभी कभी दंड का भी पात्र बना देता है। उसी तरह हमें यह भी सोचना होगा कि इस शरीर की क्या उपयोगिता है? क्या यह भगवान् ...

वैसे तो इस संसार में मनुष्य का भोगों के प्रति आकर्षण स्वाभाविक मालूम पड़ता है, पर विचारने पर दृष्टिगत होता है कि त्याग हीं वह तत्व है जिसे महत्व देने पर मनुष्य का जीवन वास्तविक रूप से सुखमय, कल्याणमय और आनंदमय हो पाता है। इसे अनुभव का विषय कहने में कोई आपत्ति नहीं होना चाहिये कि जैसे-जैसे व्यक्ति भोगपरायण होता जाता है उसकी प्रवृत्ति संग्रह और परिग्रह की होती चली जाती है। संग्रह-परिग्रह का भाव क्रिया का वह वेग है जिसका परिमाण, तीव्रता और दिशा हम इस प्रकार तय करते हैं कि संग्रहित वस्तु और सेवा का उपभोग सदा पीढ़ी दर पीढ़ी सिर्फ हम और हमारा परिवार हीं करे तथा दूसरे को इसके उपयोग तक से भी वंचित रखा जाय। व्यक्ति अपने हीं विवेक का निरादर करना आरंभ कर देता है। अपने विवेक की उपेक्षापूर्ण निरादर करता हुआ संग्रह-परिग्रह के वशीभूत किसी व्यक्ति के कार्यकलाप को दूर से देखना प्रायः एक ज्ञानवर्धक अनुभव हो सकता है। हम देखते हैं कि जैसे हीं उसके संग्रह-परिग्रह के मार्ग में कोई बाधा उपस्थित होता है, उसे समाप्त करने के लिए वह किसी भी सीमा तक स्वयं को ले जाता है। परिणामतः ऐसे लोलचित्त व्यक्ति को अंततः...

The title of this writing may sound bizarre but it holds true. Article 370 has not been done away with in toto but it stands liquidated for all the purpose of giving special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir which, within a day or two from now, will remain no more a State but a region comprising two union territories, namely Union Territory of Ladakh and Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The Muslim women(Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill, 2019 has become an Act after it being passed by Parliament and given presidential assent. Now the  muslim husbands can no longer invoke this practice of talaq-e-biddat to become free from marriage and marriage related obligations. The Act makes the practice of talaq-e-biddat not only void and illegal but a penal offence also. The said Act is a bold step forward by the government which truly appreciated the plight of married muslim women. The muslim women have remained a discriminated lot in ways more than one.  The Act provided them to breath in open. With this enactment there remains no need among the married muslim women to labor under the constant fear of being subjected to this form of divorce what the muslim husbands thought it to be their privilege that can be exercised as and when they feel so.
